Rehumanizing Humanity
Our Mission
Reducing Extinction strives to combat the climate crises by building unique educational opportunities that help communities understand, appreciate, and reconnect with our forgotten duties as apex predators.
Our Vision
We envision a world brought back from the brink of mass extinction events, with restored balance and harmony in the natural order around us and proper distribution of resources for all.

About Reducing Extinction
At Reducing Extinction we provide opportunities to understand, appreciate, and find purpose in the unique roles we play as apex predators. For too long we’ve put our species on a pedestal, separating humans from the natural world all around us and ignoring the consequences.

Through this one of a kind youth camp, we will learn the basics of our climate crisis and how connecting to our natural world is healing and vital for human existence, and all life on earth!
This camp is an all-encompassing youth camp covering youth ages from elementary to university age. Our camp information and activities are geared for the youth participants at elementary and middle school levels, whereas our camp counselor positions are reserved for high school and university-age youth for them to exercise their leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills through an environmental lens. The main goal of our camp is to introduce the basics of our climate crisis to elementary/middle school youth in an age-appropriate format all while connecting to nature and understanding the connection between our natural world and human existence. This will include using nature experiences, art, and our ancestral power to learn how to heal through our mother earth at an early age.
Youth Camp options:
Full camp: This is the all inclusive youth camp run created and run fully through Reducing Extinction (RE). This is our staple youth camp option where each camper receives a youth ambassador award upon the end of camp.
Note: Parents/guardians have the opportunity to volunteer/chaperon during their youthʻs camp experience (number of available campers, camp counselor, and guardian chaperon slots may vary per camp experience). Please stay tuned for future dates!
Contractor camp: We offer partial activities and camp services to your already existing camp, workshop, etc. We will work alongside you as a collaborator partner and together, can customize activities that fit your personal or organizational camp needs. Contact us for more information or planning a collaborative youth nature camp!

The older we get the more difficult it can be to slow down and see the world around us for what it is. Whether you want to call that adulting, capitalism, or all around disconnect, we wanted to create an adult REsetting retreat by REconnecting back to nature and our roots as a species.
These retreats will include personal grounding and open healing circles, morning and evening meditations, silent communication 101 training, wildlife and environmental education, nature walks and outings, and MORE! Join us as we learn together how to venture back to connecting with our true duties as one of our planet's top apex predators.

Our signature Ecosystem Conserving Organisms (ECO) Fellowship is an in-depth certificate course consisting of eight workshops that explores our inner selves with the purpose of reconnecting with our true purpose on this planet through an environmental and biological lens. This series includes sessions on wildlife and earth science 101, meditation and gratitude grounding (customized alongside each individual for the individual), our role as apex predators, gardening and soil healing, exploring alkaline foods, exploring the intersectionality between global human rights and our natural world (civic engagement education), and much more!

In nature community is vital to the existence of many species and ecosystems. Whether it's a school of fish, a herd of bison, a pack of wolves, a forest of trees (mycorrhizal network), or a collective of humans, we all thrive and accomplish more in community. Reducing Extinction believes that strength in unity and solidarity through coalition groups and community building is 100% essential in making realistic change. Our earth provides us all with the tools, food, and space to live and thrive. Therefore, our mission will not stop as long as there are species going extinct and humans continue to face starvation and forced displacement on a daily basis. If you are an organization or coalition group looking to expand connection and community, please contact us with “Coalition Building Opportunity” in the subject line of your email.
